- ➤ More than 500 volunteers are preparing 13,000 free meals at 17 locations for the 37th Annual Community Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day in Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas. The event began after Hurricane Hugo in 1989 (a tradition that continues to inspire community fellowship). WFXB Fox TV

- ➤ Klig’s Kites, a staple on Celebrity Circle at Broadway at The Beach, will close on Dec. 31 after co-founder Bruce Kligman passed in September (business partner Richard Kligman said the decision fits a changing market). WFXB Fox TV
