Conway officials said two groups vandalized Halloween decorations near the Riverwalk and warned residents and visitors to be watchful as displays may continue to be targeted.

Boardwalk Comic Con is in Myrtle Beach this weekend with celebrity guests — Matthew Wood and Eddie McClintock — drawing fans and vendors; organizers say the event will return yearly for more star appearances.

Comic Con debuted at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday—over 150 vendors, artists, guests, and cosplayers gathered for pop culture fun that included a children's cosplay contest, a vintage video game room, and a virtual reality experience.

Officials said the event will be held annually at the center.
