The annual Myrtle Beach Spring Fest will be held at a new location—ball field three at the Colonel Thomas 'Buddy' Styers Athletic Complex—today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event features Easter egg hunts from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. where kids trade empty eggs for Bunny Money to shop for candy and 75 new food trucks and vendors add more fun for families.

Crews reported critical injuries in an overnight Highway 501 crash—one involving a tractor-trailer—in Horry County.

On April 16, South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics planted a rare second-generation Moon Tree grown from a loblolly pine seed that orbited the Moon on NASA’s Artemis I mission— the tree now stands at the campus entrance to encourage STEM education and discovery.

City and county leaders will meet on April 22 to discuss a lease deal that may keep the Myrtle Beach Pelicans playing here by funding much-needed stadium upgrades—officials say the plan would raise rent from $150,000 to $750,000 and spend $20 million on improvements.
