- ➤ In Myrtle Beach, former city spokesman Mark Kruea won the mayor's race against two-term incumbent Brenda Bethune on Nov. 4 after a contest among five candidates. The nonpartisan election promises new leadership for the city. The Post and Courier
- ➤ Crews will begin work on Barefoot Bridge on Jan. 5 with one lane open through January, so drivers in North Myrtle Beach should plan ahead + use caution near the work zone. WMBF News
