EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Head Start Center opened at the Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Organized by the Waccamaw Economic Opportunity Council, it provides free childcare and early education services for children ages 0-5 and is the only center of its kind in Myrtle Beach. My Horry News

- ➤ Myrtle Beach City Council approved a planned Jewish spiritual center on three acres along 29th Avenue North on Dec. 9. The project will include a worship center, school with 180 students and 225 parking spaces — with design to finish by Dec. 2026 and construction in five phases through Dec. 2035. My Horry News
