- ➤ Atlas Van Lines' study found that South Carolina ranked 10th for outbound moves between Nov. 2024 and Oct. 2025. The study recorded 56% leaving the state and 44% moving in, with factors like an aging population possibly influencing the trend. WPDE

- ➤ A new Head Start Center is open on the Grand Strand to provide free, high-quality early childhood education for local families (offering resources for young learners). WPDE
- ➤ On Monday, Dec. 8, the Horry County Board of Education approved holiday bonuses for eligible Horry County Schools employees by granting full-time staff $896 and part-time employees $448 at a total cost of $6.48 million following its record graduation rate. My Horry News

- ➤ Beach renourishment in North Myrtle will begin on Monday, Dec.18. The $72 million project funded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will restore 26 miles of sand—including the North Strand—with dredging starting Dec.11 and work expected to finish in February. My Horry News
