- ➤ Myrtle Beach’s Winter Wonderland at the Beach celebration will kick off on November 28 and run until January 4 with nightly festivities from 5—9 p.m. The Boardwalk will feature festive lights, live entertainment and fireworks while a free mile-long trail of lights extends from Plyler Park to the 2nd Avenue Pier. - ➤ Allegiant Air will add direct flights from Myrtle Beach International Airport to Dayton, Ohio, and Elmira, New York starting in May 2026, with flights operating on Mondays and Fridays and one-way fares from $49—Horry County's director of airports said the routes will boost local tourism and the economy. - ➤ Harbor Freight Tools will open a 16,000-square-foot store along US Highway 501 near downtown Myrtle Beach on a 3.5-acre lot that once housed an AVX facility — the Community Appearance Board approved the project on Nov. 20 and the developer plans to complete it by the first quarter of 2026 with new parking and landscaping.
