The Horry County Animal Care Center in Conway will launch its Home for the Pawlidays foster program on Nov.

21, offering Thanksgiving fosters from Nov. 21 to 26 with returns on Dec. 1 to 2 and Christmas fosters from Dec. 19 to 20 with returns on Dec. 29 to 30 to ease shelter overcrowding while giving residents a chance to try a pet. Foster families will receive supplies as available + are encouraged to extend the foster period or adopt the animal.

On Sunday, the fourth annual boiled peanut championship was held at Suck Bang Blow in Murrells Inlet.
