- ➤ City officials and employees gathered on Oct. 30 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center in North Myrtle Beach to mark its 20th anniversary — a big moment for the community — and to announce plans to expand the facility. The expansion will add extra space for activities including a gym, an aerobics room, outdoor play area and locker rooms — bids are expected in late spring or early summer. My Horry News
- ➤ Today, the South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs and Harvest Hope Food Bank are hosting their 4th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to support veterans and residents impacted by the government shutdown—donations of nonperishable foods are accepted at designated sites from today until Friday, November 21. - ➤ Tidelands Health In the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Walk took place on Saturday, Nov. 1st at Brookgreen Gardens, drawing over 2,000 participants and raising more than $260,000 for the breast cancer fund. Chief Meteorologist Ed Piotrowski hosted the 20th annual event. WPDE
