Good morning, Myrtle Beach. Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 2nd of November.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Jeep enthusiasts from over 40 states gather in Myrtle Beach for the 8th Annual Jeep Jam at the former Myrtle Square Mall site — over 2,500 Jeeps are set to tackle an obstacle course and a mud pit while 250 register for a sunrise beach crawl, and the event features a classic collection of about 30 vintage Jeeps from 1942 to 1992 — vendors and themed awards add to the excitement.  WPDE

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Saturday afternoon, the Horry County Fire Rescue Dive Team removed a submerged vehicle from a pond in the Surfside Beach area—after the Highway Patrol requested help with the line attachment—and the occupants were safe with the vehicle towed from the water.  WPDE
