Today the Sunrise Beach Crawl kicks off the 8th annual Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam, a three-day festival at the old Myrtle Square Mall site that will draw over 2,000 Jeeps for an obstacle course, beach crawls, parties & 120 vendors; spectators pay $10 while kids 12 and under enter free as proceeds benefit a local charity.

Myrtle Beach will host a free Halloween Spooktacular at the Mary C.

There are a few days left to visit Conway's Fear Factory Haunted Attraction at 7 Elm Street in Conway until Saturday from 7 p.m. — midnight, with tickets sold on-site.

Imaginations and Murder Beach Productions set up the attraction to offer live actors, animatronics and scary scenes in the City of Halloween.

Developers plan to invest about $11 million in Myrtle Beach to build 32 pickleball courts, with eight private courts at The Shelby and 24 public courts at Whispering Pines expected by summer.
