  • Darry Del Corro and NMB Police Chief Dana Crowell discussed the upcoming Pickleball with the Stars event, which takes place this Saturday, Oct. 25th at the J. Bryan Floyd Recreation Center—where people will enjoy pickleball, music, entertainment and a groundbreaking ceremony for the new complex—and a contest that offers a chance to win $50 from Badass Coffee of Hawaii and two tickets.  WFXB Fox TV
  • Ripley's Aquarium of Myrtle Beach will host a free trunk—or-treat event on Saturday from 5—7 pm at the aquarium plaza where guests can dress in costumes, collect candy, and dance to festive tunes. At 7 pm the party will move inside for a Halloween Glow Party that requires a ticket for indoor celebrations.  WFXB

  • A woman accused of pointing a gun at the Myrtle Beach 'No Kings' protest expressed regret during a bond hearing, police said.  WMBF News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson sent a letter urging the Department of Commerce to transfer red snapper fisheries management to coastal states—he said states can gather fish data and set local rules more effectively and coordinated the push with Florida and Georgia. The letter calls for state-led Experimental Fishing Permits and emergency regulations to maintain continuity during the change.  WPDE
