- ➤ Myrtle Beach neighbors are concerned after a sewer force main broke last Friday on 76th Avenue — vacuum pump trucks removed 11 loads of raw sewage while city tests met state standards even though some residents worry local wells could be contaminated. WPDE

- ➤ Mindful Journey Academy — an outdoor school in Horry County — will host a Fall Festival fundraiser this weekend with a twist on the traditional Trunk or Treat where children will collect treats from tree trunks instead of car trunks.
