- ➤ Frank Glidden of Duplin Winery said the grape stomp event will take place at Barefoot Landing’s SeptemberFest on Saturday, Sept. 20th from Noon to 5:00 p.m.—participants will pay $35 to stomp grapes near Crooked Hammock Brewery and receive a bottle of wine and a souvenir cup; spectators are welcome. - ➤ Netflix's Outer Banks will film on Sept 27 at the Socastee Swing Bridge when the 90-year-old bridge—one of the state's busiest moveable bridges—will be closed from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. along with a section of Dick Pond Road as the crew chose Saturday filming to ease school-day traffic. - ➤ After delays in transit due to a shortage of bus drivers, Horry County Schools will hold a job fair tomorrow at its Regional Transportation Office at 6058 Investors Boulevard to fill about 60 open positions—helping drivers meet course requirements for a Commercial Driver’s License. WMBF News
- ➤ Horry County Schools Nutrition Services staff, including 381 members, serve over 8.5 million meals a year while following strict nutritional guidelines to keep students healthy.
