The South Carolina Department of Transportation reported that the bridge over Todd Swamp on McNeil Chapel Road (Highway 348) is closed in both directions for repairs until Dec.
31, with detours in effect.

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department’s Opioid Response Team held an Overdose Awareness Day event at Chapin Memorial Park on Monday, offering free counseling, support groups, and other resources for those battling addiction (including personal stories from recovery specialist Brooke Sellers). The event reflected the team’s ongoing effort to aid residents.
