- ➤ On Thursday, Aug. 21 at 1:40 a.m., a verbal altercation at a Little River convenience store turned violent when Deshun Carter reportedly fired a shot into a vehicle during a dispute over snacks—resulting in the victim striking Carter with his car in self-defense while Carter faces attempted murder charges. - ➤ A CCU professor was arrested for DUI on the second day of classes after a video captured him driving under the influence (Aug. 22) and officials confirmed the incident is under investigation. WMBF News
