- ➤ Authorities are investigating a shooting where a male victim was shot several times at his home on Tulip Grove Road in the Green Sea area at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday and taken to a hospital with injuries to his abdomen, left arm, and left leg—his condition is unknown. WFXB Fox TV

- ➤ Horry-Georgetown Technical College opened its new $15M Nursing and Health Science Institute on the Grand Strand campus on July 29, using a 20,000-square-foot former gym to support 18 health programs.
