- ➤ Pedal Pub proposed a new tour along the Grand Strand in Conway and Myrtle Beach with public and private rides for up to 15 passengers lasting two hours—designed to showcase local areas. - ➤ Authorities are investigating a shooting where a male victim was shot several times at his home on Tulip Grove Road in the Green Sea area at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday and taken to a hospital with injuries to his abdomen, left arm, and left leg—his condition is unknown. WFXB Fox TV

- ➤ Horry-Georgetown Technical College opened its new $15M Nursing and Health Science Institute on the Grand Strand campus on July 29, using a 20,000-square-foot former gym to support 18 health programs. - ➤ Myrtle Beach sued four pizza delivery companies (Pizza De Roma, Da Vinci Pizza, Marco Polo Pizzeria, and Bawk-Bawk Fish N Chicken) on July 28 for repeatedly leaving flyers in hotel rooms without permission. City officials seek a court injunction to stop the violations of the handbill ordinance (which fines offenders up to $500 or 30 days in jail). The Post and Courier
