- ➤ Horry County Schools will offer free breakfast and lunch during the 2025-2026 school year under the Community Eligibility Provision program—this change means schools now qualify by including students who receive Medicaid benefits and no longer need meal applications. WPDE
- ➤ Coastal Carolina University named James Winebrake as its new president and he began work on July 7; his contract sets his base salary at $254,800 plus an annual supplement that guarantees him at least $575,000 per year through 2029.
