- ➤ Jaziah Raekwom Taylor (25) was charged with high and aggravated assault and weapon possession after a Sunday stabbing at 6:07 p.m. at 1845 Mr. Joe White Avenue that left one with life-threatening injuries, and he was arrested on Monday while he remains held at the Long Detention Center with a bond of ($85,000). - ➤ Conway will host Riverfest on Saturday, June 28 with paddle battle river races at 10 a.m., opening ceremonies at 11 a.m., a golf cart parade at 11:30 a.m., and a fireworks extravaganza at 9:30 p.m.—local and regional musicians will perform throughout the day at Riverfront Park, offering a festival of family fun and community spirit. - ➤ Coastal Carolina University held a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Wednesday for its new indoor practice facility across from Brooks Stadium. The 93,000-square-foot facility—costing $20 million—features an artificial teal turf field, filming platforms, and athletic training space that the university said is a game changer. WMBF News
- ➤ WonderWorks Myrtle Beach is offering interactive STEM exhibits and hands-on challenges this summer to help kids learn at the upside-down attraction.
