Good morning, Myrtle Beach.

Tenants at Carolina Breeze apartment complex in Myrtle Beach went without water for days after a broken pipe disrupted service (water was restored June 17), leaving residents to struggle with basic needs while some called city officials for help.

Surfside fire crews rescued a combative swimmer yesterday near the beach — authorities placed him in custody after he resisted assistance during the incident.

Myrtle Beach celebrates the Colored School museum’s 20th anniversary today with a parade and an honored community leader.

The event highlights the museum’s role in preserving local history (a milestone for the community).
