Good morning, Myrtle Beach.

A record 800 runners took part in the 4th Annual Ed's Hurricane Hustle last Saturday at Coastal Carolina University, setting a new turnout record for the race.

Fire crews worked to contain a 1-acre woods fire on Thursday afternoon near Bombing Range Road in the Longs area; smoke remained visible for some time.

Low water levels measured at Conway Riverwalk have reached historic lows — gauges recorded inches of water as extreme drought conditions persist.

A heat advisory warns residents to conserve water and take precautions during the hot weekend.

Coastal Carolina University (CCU) will host the 4th annual Ed’s Hurricane Hustle later today with a record 807 runners registered, showing strong local support for the race.

Organizers expect the event to boost community health and spirit.
