- ➤ On Friday, police responded to a welfare check at Wallingford Circle in Myrtle Beach when 29-year-old Sasha Alexandra Rodriguez—who told a child she was a mermaid and removed her clothing while acting erratically near a pond—was arrested for unlawful conduct toward a child. WPDE
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Conway Medical Center and the Department of Natural Resources reached a deal that added 353 acres to Lewis Ocean Bay Heritage Preserve in Carolina Forest, growing it to 10,788 acres. - ➤ Nearly 200 residents gathered at North Myrtle Beach City Hall Tuesday to give feedback on short-term rental issues—such as parking, speeding and safety—and city officials are planning to review new regulations later this year.
