- ➤ Emmanuel Louis Ingram was arrested in Surfside on May 7 after he entered a stopped school bus (his son had just gotten off) and pointed a small black handgun at the driver while interfering with the bus's operation. WPDE
- ➤ The 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office filed a motion on Thursday to charge a 16-year-old in connection with the Little River mass shooting on May 25 that left 10 people with gunshot wounds on a private charter boat near Watson Avenue—police are still investigating how the case should proceed—while a 19-year-old suspect remains in custody in Illinois. - ➤ A Myrtle Beach man, identified as Chasen Davis, was arrested on Friday after deputies stopped his vehicle on Highway 17 Bypass at Wachesaw Road because they smelled marijuana—and a search found narcotics including marijuana, cocaine, ketamine, psilocybin, prescription drugs, and $3,300 in cash before taking him to the Georgetown County Detention Center. - ➤ Branden Huertas, 43, pleaded guilty on May 29 to accessory after the fact in the 2023 murder of 20-year-old David Roldan Dimas, a CCU student shot while waiting in his car outside Planet Fitness in Carolina Forrest—he received a 15-year prison sentence suspended pending 10 years served and 3 years probation requiring mental health, drug and alcohol treatment and counseling—solidifying the court's sentence in this fatal case.
