- ➤ A Southwest Airlines flight from Baltimore to Tampa was diverted to Myrtle Beach on Thursday after a customer's battery charger overheated and caused cabin smoke—officials found no injuries and inspected the aircraft while the fire/rescue team was on standby before a replacement aircraft carried passengers to Tampa. - ➤ Horry County Police said a 19-year-old suspect was arrested in Illinois on May 25 for a shooting on a charter boat in the Little River area that left 10 people with gunshot wounds and one with another injury—he will be extradited to face charges including attempted murder. WPDE

- ➤ After strong storms hit Horry County on Friday, residents submitted photos of damage at the CCMF site (downed tents and fences) and along Ocean Boulevard (fallen trees and a business sign), showing widespread impact. WMBF News
