- ➤ Stephen Stanko, who killed Henry Lee Turner in 2005, is set to be executed on Friday, June 13—his victim’s son Roger Turner said he will attend the execution to watch him face his sentence. My Horry News
- ➤ At least 11 people were injured in a shooting in Little River as police responded around 9:30 p.m.—a North Myrtle Beach officer accidentally shot himself on scene and is in stable condition. The Post and Courier
- ➤ Early Sunday morning, Horry County police chased a Ford Fusion that fled a traffic stop near Highway 17 Bypass and Robert Grissom Parkway at about 1:10 a.m., using stop sticks+ a grappler tool after officers saw items thrown from inside, and they detained four people while suspected drugs were found at the scene. - ➤ On May 25th, Horry County Police responded to an apparent shooting on Watson Avenue in Little River—transporting 11 people to local hospitals—and said the incident appeared isolated with no current risk to the community. My Horry News
