- ➤ Firehouse Subs hosted Touch-a-Truck events on Sunday in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee to honor firefighters on International Firefighters Day. Families got a chance to see fire trucks and meet first responders, and part of every purchase went to the Public Safety Foundation — which has donated over $96 million in lifesaving equipment. WPDE

- ➤ North Myrtle Beach police are investigating the death of a woman at 112 Hillside Drive, located near Main Street and Kings Highway, after a call came in at 8 p.m. on May 3—officials said there is no threat to the community. My Horry News
