  • The Adaptive Surf Project installed the first ADA beach mat on Springmaid Pier this past Sunday evening—funded by donations and grants and aiming to extend the matting to the high tide line while recruiting volunteers for wheelchair delivery, improving beach access for those with mobility challenges.  WPDE

  • On Saturday evening, Horry County Police said a shooting off Bay View Drive in the Green Sea area left one person critically injured — officials reported there was no risk to the community.  WMBF News
  • Horry County Police are investigating a shooting on Bay View Drive in Green Sea after Charles Jones was fatally shot by his roommate during an argument at their residence — he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.  WPDE
