- ➤ The state board of education voted to let a Horry County principal keep her educator certificate despite her prior criminal investigation—officials said the decision followed a full review of her case. WMBF News

- ➤ The South Carolina Forestry Commission lifted Horry County’s burn ban at noon on Wednesday due to improved weather—residents must follow local and state burning laws and contact the commission before burning.
