  • The Waccamaw Sportsmen Expo focused on river life and was held Saturday in Horry County with family- and dog-friendly events led by Conway Downtown Alive—featuring a DockDogs competition, food trucks, conservation exhibits, boat displays and wild game cooking demos.  WPDE

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Horry County Fire Rescue responded at 7:57 p.m. Saturday to a fire alarm at a multi-unit commercial building on the 10000 block of Kings Road in Myrtle Beach—smoke was seen, several units were evacuated, and no injuries were reported as crews investigated an HVAC issue.  WPDE

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Residents near Conway said a wildfire sparked nearby on Saturday and was contained quickly—local officials continue to monitor the area for any further threat.  WMBF News

  • The city announced that new parking is now available in the Myrtle Beach Arts & Innovation District.  WMBF News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Larry Nowak, owner of Myrtle Beach Bowl, is hosting the first annual charity bowling fundraiser for the MS Society during MS Awareness month, and trustee Steve Kovalsky said the event (today) aims to exceed its $2000 goal to support one million Americans living with MS.  WPDE
