- ➤ Coastal Carolina YMCA plans to build a new Y with an Olympic-sized pool in Carolina Forest on land owned by Tidelands Health — the project, estimated between $40 million and $45 million, will include a gymnasium and fitness rooms and is in its preliminary planning stages. - ➤ Over 250 high school juniors and seniors from 10 Horry County Schools will take part in a behind-the-scenes look at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on April 14 — the program gives them three 30-minute sessions to learn how the event is set up and what jobs are available in marketing, culinary services, hospitality and turf management. - ➤ The State of South Carolina released its final report on the $1.8B accounting error and said no funds were missing, but warned that Treasurer Curtis Loftis remained in office during an ongoing SEC investigation that risked the state’s fiscal future—officials recommended his removal to protect public funds. - ➤ The S.C. 90 bridge over U.S. 17 near North Myrtle Beach will close nightly for repairs starting March 30th from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.—repairs are expected to complete in April while the bridge remains open on weekends and drivers are advised to detour via Sea Mountain Highway, Morgan Avenue, and 5th Avenue North.
