- ➤ Community leaders in Carolina Forest are using lessons from last year's Covington Drive wildfire (which forced evacuations) to help residents prepare for emergencies like wildfires and floods. - ➤ Debbie Edmonds, current Horry County Board of Education District 2 representative for Carolina Forest and Myrtle Beach, confirmed Monday, Mar. 2, that she will not seek reelection in 2026.
