ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Horry County Fire Rescue responded to a fire that damaged a detached non-residential building in Bucksport Sunday (crews were dispatched at 8:14 a.m.), and officials are investigating the cause.  WPDE

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Carolina Country Music Festival returns for its 11th year from June 4-7 in Downtown Myrtle Beach. Headliners include Riley Green, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, and Post Malone (with many additional acts scheduled each day).  WPDE
  • Nicole Pisani, owner of Nikki Cole's Hair Design and Spa, is set to appear on Discovery Channel's survival show Naked and Afraid, with the two-hour episode airing March 8 at 8 p.m. She will host a watch party with family and friends at Pier 14 Restaurant + Lounge.  The Post and Courier

  • The 2nd annual Oyster Roast for the Coast is set to promote oyster shell recycling and local sustainability in Myrtle Beach. Organizers will share recycling tips and conservation efforts with community members.  WMBF News
  • Crews recalled the 2,059-acre wildfire that began on Mar. 1, 2025 and lasted 82 days in Carolina Forest, while fire officials urge residents to follow open burning guidelines to prevent future incidents.  WMBF News
