- ➤ Fire rescue crews responded around 11:30 a.m. Thursday to a home on the 5000 block of Krystal Lane, which left five residents displaced and the American Red Cross ready to offer help (Horry County police are investigating the cause). WFXB Fox TV

- ➤ The Carolina Country Music Fest runs June 4 to 7 at Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place in downtown Myrtle Beach with headliners Post Malone, Riley Green, Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton + over 40 country acts. - ➤ County officials remind residents that texting 9-1-1 is an option when speaking is unsafe. The service, in use since 2019, lets dispatchers text back + forth for location and emergency details, though calling remains the preferred method. WMBF News
- ➤ Rain delayed the planned road closure on Park View Road in downtown Conway; barricades will now be installed Monday morning. The project will include stormwater improvements, new water lines, pavement, sidewalks, landscaping and street trees, and will close the road until late May—Main Street will serve as a detour.
