- ➤ A Coastal Carolina University student ended a 600-day shelter stay for dog Danica by adopting her after several bonding sessions at the Horry County Animal Care Center, and the shelter now offers free heartworm treatment for adoptions before March 1 (creating more space for other dogs). WPDE
- ➤ At the Spring Home Show, a silent auction with items like a cone-shaped pool & restaurant gift cards is supporting the Grand Strand Humane Society with 100% proceeds going to aid pet adoptions and a raffle aiming to raise at least $30,000 to help hundreds of animals find homes. WPDE
