- ➤ 103-year-old Florrie Cuttino recalled her days learning at the Myrtle Beach Colored School when she toured the museum built to honor limited school opportunities in 1932. Funded partly by over $300K from City Council and built over 20 years, the museum now hosts educational events. WPDE

- ➤ North Myrtle Beach completed a $36 million, 90-acre expansion that doubled baseball/softball fields from 6 to 12 and added five soccer fields, freshwater ponds, walking trails and picnic shelters.
