- ➤ North Myrtle Beach’s park and sports complex expansion is complete after delays from drainage and utility issues, and it now features 13 soccer fields, 12 ball fields and two playgrounds. - ➤ Several transformers at the Santee Cooper facility on 18th Avenue North blew, causing power outages in Myrtle Beach that left traffic lights out of service and police directing vehicles. Crews are working to restore power while drivers are urged to use caution. WMBF News
- ➤ Horry County officials reported that contractors repaved the section of Hemingway Chapel Road in Conway on Friday morning+ plan to reopen it tonight after barricade removal. Final construction with hydroseeding will occur next week under a nearly $5.5 million project funded by the Rural Infrastructure Authority. WMBF News
