- ➤ Myrtle Beach is launching a beach renourishment project in Arcadian Shores today to improve coastal safety & boost visitor access. WMBF News
- ➤ The new Friends Centre at the Georgetown Library Centre held a soft opening last week and is now open in the former Heritage Center space. An official ribbon cutting is planned for 5:30 p.m. Feb. 24 and volunteers are needed to help staff the center in two-hour shifts. WMBF News

- ➤ A proposal will protect nearly 6,000 acres along the Waccamaw River by expanding an 8,600 acre preserve as $19.5 million in funding has been approved for flood prevention in growing Horry (and Georgetown). WPDE
