- ➤ A snowstorm on Jan. 31 blanketed Myrtle Beach, covering streets and parking lots with snow (about six inches deep) and surprising winter visitors. Drivers were urged to use caution on slippery roads as temperatures barely rose above freezing on Sunday. My Horry News
