- ➤ Myrtle Beach-area HOAs in Carolina Forest will display bright red burn ban signs after SC Rep. Tim McGinnis distributed 90 signs on Monday, Jan. 26 to alert residents when bans are in effect. He plans to propose a bill to increase penalties for burn violations as wildfire season nears. The Post and Courier
- ➤ Military banners will return to Myrtle Beach for a second year to honor veterans and active service members. Officials say the display will be set up along the beach with more details coming soon (check local updates). WPDE
- ➤ On Jan. 25, the Loris Chamber moved into a new 8,000 sqft headquarters at 3940 Railroad Ave, setting the stage for events and a volunteer committee to plan the 47th Annual Loris Bog-Off in October. Samantha Norris said the space will host meetings, seminars and a youth leadership program. My Horry News
