- ➤ On Sunday night, a house fire on Ranchette Circle in Horry County displaced seven residents and prompted aid from the American Red Cross (no injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation). WMBF News

- ➤ Breeze Airways increased its service from Myrtle Beach with a one-way flight to Fort Lauderdale that began Jan. 16 — additional flights will expand on Feb. 13 while a non-stop flight to Orlando is set for Feb. 5. My Horry News
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices dropped by 0.5 cents per gallon on Monday, setting a state average of $2.47 while the national price rose to $2.76. The change shows a decline of 3.6 cents this month and 33.1 cents over the past year. WPDE
