BUSINESS NEWS

  • Myrtle Beach native Billy Perry sold the family-run Sea Echo Motel this year after 62 years and recalled saving a historic live oak on Withers Drive from demolition for a parking garage. He said the motel has long served as a home for cherished local memories.  The Post and Courier

  • Musician Craig Keefer will perform at a blues brunch at Local Eat Drink Celebrate on Jan. 4 (from noon to 3 p.m.) in Pawleys Island. He will play his electric guitar and perform original tunes for an intimate crowd.  The Post and Courier

  • Starting Jan. 1, the South Carolina DMV will issue new commemorative license plates featuring the Moultrie Flag for drivers as part of a 10-year update.
