- ➤ Rhonda Atkinson of the North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club said the 30th Annual Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes will take place Friday, December 5 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM when six private homes open for visitors to enjoy holiday decor. - ➤ Junior League Grand Strand will host its second annual Great Cookie Exchange Fundraiser at 104b Laurel St in Conway on Dec 7 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bakers must sign up and bring four dozen handmade cookies — a requirement needed for the event. WFXB Fox TV

- ➤ Worksman Cycles, the oldest bicycle maker in the country, has been in Conway since 2016 after moving from New York for more space and less stress. The company still makes all its bikes by hand and builds special tricycles for big stores like Walmart, Target, and Amazon — proving old ways can work well. WPDE

- ➤ The Waccamaw Economic Opportunity Council is opening the first Head Start center in Myrtle Beach east of the Intracoastal Waterway to provide free childcare and development services to eligible children and qualified families. - ➤ A ribbon cutting was held for a new expansion at Myrtle Beach International Airport. The $90 million project adds 50,000 square feet and six new terminals with new floors and updated signs — modern restrooms and improved dining and shopping options give travelers a better experience and a view of the runway. - ➤ AccessHealth Horry in Conway spends 96.1% of its budget on programs that help nearly 2,000 uninsured and underinsured residents in Horry County.
