- ➤ A Conway church hosted its third annual Thanksgiving Community & Fellowship Dinner on Wednesday night to serve hundreds of local residents. The church provided a meal for the community during the festive season. WPDE
- ➤ Little River will host its first Waterfront Winterland on Friday, November 28 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at Little River Landing. The free event is presented by the Chamber of Commerce, Crabcatchers and Little River Landing and offers family fun — with a visit from Santa, Christmas carols, hot cocoa, popcorn, a viewing of Elf and a chance for local businesses to donate decorated trees to families in need. - ➤ Former teacher Jennifer Ainsworth left an 18-year career in education to become the executive director of Maria’s Kids in Horry County, a nonprofit that offers vocational and social opportunities for individuals with special needs—continuing her family’s legacy of service. St. Mary's Catholic Church will serve its meal at 9am along Broad Street—Little River United Methodist Church and Ernie’s Hometown Diner will offer meals from 11am to 2pm, Lowcountry Community Church will host a lunch from noon to 3pm, La Trattoria will serve from 4pm to 6pm, and Great Expectations Church in Dillon will hold its Thanksgiving Blessing Meal from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.
