- ➤ The Loris Fire Department announced that 2025 was its second busiest year on record (reflecting a notable rise in call volume) as the department managed more emergencies than ever before. WPDE
- ➤ Horry County Fire Rescue handled 90,281 emergency calls in 2025 & set a new record, surpassing last year's total. The achievement shows the agency's busy commitment to community service. WPDE
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Conway Medical Center recorded 1,778 births in 2025 — a jump from 1,535 in 2023 — and confirmed Liam as the top boy name for a third consecutive year. The busiest delivery day was Sept. 18 with 12 births while summer saw 489 babies born. My Horry News
